Spring Break

Am a guy from London, England currently planning a 6 month travel around USA with a couple of chums starting in November and am thinking of rounding my trip off with some spring break partying somewhere. Luckly coincided my skiing trip to Whistler last January with Martin Luther King weekend and was v.impressed with the level of partying of the College kids there and consquently quite keen for a greater taste of the action. Therefore wondering if anyone out there would be so kind as to help me with a couple of queries. First query being, can't decide whether to hit PCB or hawaii, the second one being I'm 24 and graduated last year so will I stand out not being a 18-22 college student..... Thanks, Joe

Never been to Hawaii but, I can assure you Spring Break in PCB is one of the biggest parties in the world.... so, I'd recommend PCB for Spring Break 04! And you won't stand out being 24... you'll fit right in.

Good Luck!

Hawaii simply isn't a hot spring break spot because of the distance and cost. It is a 6 hour flight from the west coast of the US.

Judging from what I saw here on this site, it looks like you can't go wrong with Panama City Beach, which attracts the college crowd from much of the east and the midwest.

Out west, Lake Havasu, Arizona and Las Vegas have significant spring break action.

Since spring break lasts about six weeks, you may want to hit two or three cities if you have the means. Do Vegas for a few days, Havasu as long as it is a week that AZ and CA schools are off, do a couple of weeks in Panama City Beach, and maybe even Key West which seems to be gaining a spring break reputation.

I envy you ... have fun!
