IS UNDERAGE DRINKING REALLY ENFORCED DURING PANAMA? CAN YOU GET AWAY WITH IT

it depends...cops are gonna be everywhere during springbreak..I have heard they get worse every year....if you are under age and wanna drink on the beach I would just make sure you put your alcohol in a cup or something and just dont act stupid and you should be fine.

i live on the east end of the beach, by the big curve on thomas drive.
cops seem pretty relaxed around here right now, and ive seent he 'busted in the panhandle' show on tv and all the officers seem pretty fair.

i bought a scooter a little while ago, and i was driving it around
sort of learning how to handle it.

i missed a stop sign, cut acrossed the lane, didnt signal, i was definitly speeding (its like 15mph on the road along the beach behind my apartment) without a valid drivers license, or license plate.
one of the sherrifs officers pulled me over, and didnt even give me a hard time, just told me i need to obey the same trafic laws as people driving cars. and i need to get the license plate for it asap. i told him i was waiting for it to come in the mail, and he politely said, have a good day, and drove off.

im sure it gets a bit more strict around spring break, but ive had friends living here for years and they never got arested for anything.

just use common sense and if you do have a cop come up to you, be polite and honest, but dont kiss *** either. ;)

i was down there last year, and my friend honest to god drank 30 beers in one day, drunk as hell, and all of my friends cna contest to this for those who do not believe.....hell be doing it again this year....hes only 19, and was stopped by a cop at the hotel,and all the cop told him was to go to bed. as long as your on hotel property and not on the strip or somewhere else you should be okay.......

Just becareful if the cops see you drunk on the beach with a cup they will ask to see what is in it. If its beer and you are under you are going to jail. just be smart and careful about it.
