Hi gang,

I hope to do my internship in the PC Beach area. I'll be there about 4 months. Where do the locals hang out? I'd like to feel like I belong there, not just a visitor!!

As a local, if you wanna feel like a local, get up with one as SOON as you get here. And stay with them as they guide you. Otherwise, you will be completely out of place. We are very different than the tourists, and cooler, I promise. I will be more than happy, because we need more people that DON'T want to act like the drunken idiots that are just here to fornicate because they can't do it at home. Just send a reply, and we will work something out.

Thanks for the reply. It will be a little over a year before I am there. I have already recieved one internship invitation from a vet in Destin.....so not to far from my beloved PC! I haven't been down to check it out yet, but they said the clinic is a block away from the beach! Oy vey!

well, ive been down here for 5months now and deadlocked in school and finding it slow going to meet cool people, or people at all be it that i am 30min. north of PC on a lake where no one is for the winter, bah, anyway, if there are any suggestions on places to go to meet people....goofy, what kind of person r u lookin to hang with for SB?

Well, I am coming down for the week of the 20th of March. i am frm Columbus ohio. I can't hardly wait... this weather up here is killing me. This is my first experience at spring break for a few years. i just turned 27, am I going to feel out of place down there?

Heh it seems everyone from Ohio comes here. I lived in Columbus for 21years and moved down here 9 months ago-- Loving it! I do miss Lake Erie with it's rocky broken glass & used needle beach though. [sarcasm]

Schoohers opens Feb.10th and it is the club we hang out at the beach, Boat Yard is now open all year round a couple more are Key West and Ms Newsbys. Thats the ones that I know all my friends down here hang out at....

It's nice to see so many former Ohioans who have skipped the Buckeye State for PC. I've been there my whole life and just moved down here about a month ago for a job. I definitely need to get out and explore. Any ideas?

Back on topic: Jojo's/Bub's Karoke Kafe is definitely a great bar.. nothing like buying gorgeous women drinks and a little singing on stage to break the ice.. (drunk & tone deaf -> to good singers-- it's all good)

hey Kasket, houndogs is cool. Lately the place to go is Old school or head up to the arena district to Brothers.
