Not sure, but the web cam is up and running again. Just checked it. Looks pretty dark and secluded

Holiday Inn SunSpree okay!

Just received this press release from Holiday Inn SunSpree's Marketing Manager:

HURRICANE IVAN LEAVES PARADISE UNSPOILED

Panama City Beach, FL – Despite the strength of Hurricane Ivan, the properties that make up Paradise Found Resorts & Hotels sustained only minor damage and are open and operational. Those properties, which include the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort, the Holiday Inn Select, the Ramada Limited and the Days Inn Beach, are now filling rooms with those displaced by the storm, those who have come to the area to help with beach restoration and clean up and those who are just seeking some calm after the storm.
“The Paradise Found staff has worked tirelessly to clean and repair our properties so that we can continue to provide 100% guest satisfaction,” Paradise Found Vice President Julie Hilton stated. “Community efforts are underway to restore and beautify Panama City Beach and to make it even more attractive than it was before Ivan.”
Panama City Beach officials attribute the beach’s minimal damage to the 25 million dollar beach renourishment program that was completed in 1999.
Paradise Found Resorts & Hotels President Lela G. Hilton remarked, “We are truly grateful for the extraordinary teamwork and positive perseverance displayed by our staff and community members and for the concern expressed by our loyal guests during this challenging period. We are moving forward and are excited about improving our guests’ experience even more in the coming year. Renovations and the addition of some new guest services are just a few of the reasons to plan your visit to paradise.”

Paradise Found Resorts & Hotels also operates the Holiday Golf Club. Situated just one mile off the beach, the 18-hole, par 72 championship course suffered minimal damage, losing power for a short time and a few trees. “We’ve received calls from groups scheduled to come in March who want to know if the course will be intact,” commented the club’s director of golf operations, Sam Floyd. “We are up and running and never would have closed if we hadn’t lost power temporarily.”
To make your reservation in paradise, call 1-800-633-0266. To reserve your tee time in paradise, call (850) 234-1800.
