Seaweed?
Can someone explain this seaweed to me? When does it come and how bad is it really? Does it attract black flies and mosquitoes? Help.Please. I am comming down in July the second week 2005.

Seaweed usually shows up early to mid-summer for a few weeks. Last summer wasn't bad at all. In fact, there was hardly any seaweed at all.
It really isn't a problem in the water, but it can smell a little when it washes up on shore and the sun hits it. Most hotels have crews that keep it cleaned up, so it usually isn't a problem. And I've never seen it attract bugs... the breeze keeps any bugs off the beach.
