Confused

I'm feeling a little better about visiting PCB this weekend but I'm still unsure what the weather is going to be like and I really dont want to be stuck in my room the whole time...My idea of vacation was not to lay on the beach in the rain or to be worried about a hurricane coming. Just looking to enjoy some R&R by laying on the beach with a margarita. Coming Fri-Tue but wondering if I should postpone and come maybe Sat or Sun to avoid the tropical storm weather. What are weather conditions going to be like there...Please someone fill me in on the details of what is going on there of course the hotel is going to tell me things are great because they dont want to lose business...But, this is about my family vacation and having a good time.

Well, typical summer weather is the possibility for rain pretty much any day. Summer showers pop up all the time becasue of the heat and water... but there's also plenty of sunshine mixed in there as well.

We're all hoping Emily goes away... but it would be the middle of next week before it had any real effect on our weather.

I definitely think your dates will be fine as far as Emily is concerned. She is still a long ways out there and IF she comes this way, I don't think it will be until around Wednesday. That is part of the reason we are going tomorrow- we had thought about going 16-23 (Sat-Sat), but after already having to cancel our departure this past Sat., we decided to go ahead and try to get our week in ahead of Emily.
The forecast for the weekend looks great- I think 30-40% chance of rain every day. That is going to be most every day in the summer- you can always get an afternoon shower.
Go and have fun- just keep a watch on the weather channel around Sunday to be sure. I don't see it moving that fast though- it would be booking it!!! Plus, I think it will hit Mexico instead of the gulf coast- or maybe even Texas. It can NOT hit the gulf coast again!!!!
