Cool Great time

Spent the weekend at PCB. Had a great time (as usual)!!! The weather was beautiful...not one drop of rain. There was a little seaweed in the water but not enough to bother you. Guess this will be my last trip until next spring.

Glad you had a great time, Gagirl! I'm catching a lucky break from work when I get to take a PCB trip Aug. 26-30. I didn't expect to get the chance, but I'm taking advantage of it! I'm trying out a new Boardwalk condo, and I'm pretty excited about it. I walked around the place in June and was impressed.

For anyone else getting to come to the beach that weekend. a great band is playing at Spinnaker Friday-Sunday. The Lloyd Dobler Project (John Cusack fans will get the reference) is a great band which I don't believe has been signed to a major label yet. I'm predicting they will before long. Spinnaker usually has good bands, but this one is a cut above. I've got their CD, and it's sort of a Dave Matthews-type group with a dash of Santana thrown in. I'm planning on catching them all three nights. If anyone notices a blond, thirtysomething guy hanging around a lot, that'll probably be me! Aug. 26 can't get here quick enough!

Hey jodimarie.
Yes, the weather was nice...HOT....but nice. We didn't get there until Friday night and went straight to Hammerhead Fred's. We stayed on the beach most all day Saturday and then ate at Saltwater Grill Saturday night. We had to leave early Sunday and come on home. Just not enough time to do everything we wanted, but one full day at the beach is better than nothing. :D

Wink

I agree! One good day at the beach...sun, fun, relaxing and soaking it in...is all you need to make it through those crazy work weeks.

Good stuff at Saltwater Grill, right? I LOVE the atmosphere, I havn't been in a while, but I might make it a point to go this weekend. We almost always eat at Schooner's because we hang out on the beach behind it all day...it's so nice to be able to walk in bare foot and sandy and eat really good food as the sun is going down. I love it!! I usually get the Greek salad with grilled chicken on top, but my friend ordered the seared tuna the other day and it's was HUGE.

Anyway, I making myself hungry! I'm glad you enjoyed your brief visit. It's too bad that you have to wait until next Spring to come back. You know, there's just as much fun to be had and good food to eat in the fall and winter too...

Cool

Yes, we enjoyed Saltwater Grill. That was our first time eating there but we will be back.
Who knows....I might have seen you on Schooner's cams. I enjoy looking at them while I'm at work.
We may try and make it down when oyster season gets here. There is nothing better than dozens of raw oysters and cold beer. ;)
