This weekend is the BIG event, the 25th annual Indian Summer Festival at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach. The new promoters have gone all out this year to make improvements to the festival. Tickets prices are much lower than they have been in recent years (only $10 /day - which includes all the concerts too! or $25 for a weekend pass) Children under 6 are free, and only $5 for 6-12 years.

The carnival area is almost 3 times bigger than ever before, which means ALOT of rides and games.

The best part is the line up entertaiment which includes...Blake Shelton (FRI), The Drifters and SheDaisy (SAT), and Jeff Bates (SUN)...plus other national acts and many local artists too, and a Southern Star talent search!

Arts, crafts, good food, car and boat shows...the list is endless!

Tonight is the night...Blake Shelton!!!! Indian Summer Festival kicks off this afternoon and is sure to be a weekend of food, fun, music, rides, games, and more fun and music...

The weather should be perfect...warm, breezy days and cool nights...perfect outdoor festival weather.

Blake Shelton is the headlining act tonight - so there will be a few groups, including the finalists from the Southern Star Talent Search that will performing before him, so it's really hard to say for sure. I don't want to tell you a specific time and be wrong! The festival starts at 4 pm, so my best guess would be mid-evening.

Did anybody get the chance to check out the festival?? The weather was perfect and the whole event was soooooo much better than last year.

Didn't get to go, but everyone says it was a big success this year. Hopefully a sign of things to come for this festival.

I've also heard rumor of the possibility of a similar festival at Frank Brown Park in the Spring with many of the same arts, crafts, and food vendors, and carnival rides, with an even wider variety of music...possibly some big name rock-n-roll bands, jazz artists, etc. I'll keep you guys updated on any new developments that I hear about!
