Local artist invites public to view collection of experimental artworks.
Local artist, Blu Webster, will unveil a new series of works entitled Truth, Science and Strange Anomalies - A collection of observations, interpretations and curiosities. This experimental series of paintings and sculptures is influenced by his study of Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci's numbers and the Golden Section in nature. It involves the arrangement of patterns occurring naturally in trees, seeds, fruits, beehives, & seashells. Blu Webster adopts the naturally occurring patterns and applies their structural soundness and strengths to his creative practices. "There is no sense in reinventing the wheel." Webster explains. "We should use what God has given us in nature and develop it for our needs and uses as a society. By following this doctrine of natural origin, I believe we can find light, strong solutions for our everyday living needs."
An opening reception is scheduled for Friday, June 2, @ 8:00pm at the Gallery Above, 563 Harrison Ave, Panama City, Florida. Food and wine will be provided. The exhibit will be on display for public viewing until the end of the month. For more information, contact Gallery Above 850.215.9954.
