Hi ConstanceMarie!
NJ to PCB is quite a culture shock :) ! Hopefully some locals will come out of the woodwork and help you with stuff to do. I have a few suggestions that hopefully aren't too touristy for ya... a great great bar and liquor store, Ms. Newby's on Thomas... also any day spent on Shell Island is a great day. |

Constancemarie, welcome. Alot of things to do in PC Beach. Must go to St. Andrews State Park and see the beach. How a beach should really look. Access at the end of Thomas Drive. And also, that is where you catch the Shell Island Shuttle. Must go see Eden Gardens State Park off on State Route 395 off of 98, or what they call PC Beach Parkway. This is going west toward 30A. Just lovely grounds, you can tour the plantation home, walk around the lovely gardens behind the house, it has a nice walking path throughout the property. Even has a little gift shop. The home is facing the bay! I am assuming it is the Choctawhatchee Bay. We have visited it two years in a row.

If you have a little extra cash. Rent a pontoon boat and cruise over to Shell Island, and St. Andrews State Park. I different point of view from the usuall drive and walk. Also don't forget snorkle gear! Lots of wild life living in the breakers off St. Andrews, and in the grassy areas near Shell Island.
On a side note, a couple weeks ago a couple dophins came right up to the boat while we were anchored near the breakers off St Andrews. Last edited by Bubba Bob; June-29th,2006 at 10:21 PM. |

:D Tuesday July 4th
"Fourth of July Fireworks" at Dan Russell Pier and celebration at Pier Park. Fireworks will occur in several areas of the county. Another fun thing for you to do is take a ride on the Seascreamer. I wanted so bad to do that and could not get hubby to do so. Here is the link for that. http://www.seascreamer.net/ Last edited by beachnut; June-30th,2006 at 12:07 AM. |

Shell Island
Here are links to some info on Shell Island. Just small pictures though! We loved it but the water two years ago was not like Crab Island's water. But we haven't been there since! We will be riding the waverunner tour out to that location this year and will see then what it looks like. But that is the end of August. So if anyone happens to be there anytime soon, would appreciate feedback on that. Thanks.
