what I was thinking, although I had a bad experience once while eating them in the dark one night in front of the tv. Thought they were a little tough and not very good but I ate all 24 of them. Turned the light on and the meat was blood red.

That's not cool! I've never had anything but great wings at Hooters, but we've always eaten at the restaurant. I think they've got the world's best wings.

But there are some other places that are good as well:

Zaxbys
Boatyard has great wings
I like Dominoe's wings
Time Out (sports bar on Thomas Drive - across from Billy's)

I'll ask the guys at lunch for more suggestions...

Bubba Bob, this Zaxbys must be good. But unfortunately, I do not eat much fried chicken. Got salmonella from it and ended up spending 8 days in isolation in the hospital with not only that but a kidney infection and a bacterial infection. Could have caught those two things in the hospital though. Have had to see a gastroenterologist ever since and that was 20 years ago! And I love Popeyes chicken and red beans and rice! Yum Yum!

Yes, very good indeed. Plus, the chain hasn't spread to Texas yet so being away from it most of the year really makes it good when I do get it. I'm sorry you came down with salmonella. Food can really come back to bite you in the @$$ sometimes. At least good ol' read beans and rice is safe :)

luvpc,
Just curious, how many beers did you have that night?

Did you get really sick? Ugh...I think I'd die if I realized that and the impeding food poisioning.

Uh...I'd be way concerned. When I was in college I bit into a Chic Fil A sandwich that was straight raw meat. I was convinced I'd be hospitalized after that.
