I asked this question after our trip to PCB last year, and just wondered if there have been any changes. Is the Hidden Lagoon Go Kart track still closed? That was our favorite track and I hate to hear it's closed forever!!

I don't recall seeing any activity there last year when we came during Labor Day week. But my husband says he thought the place was open. Maybe swn5363 can answer this for us! I hate the thought of it being closed also as my husband and I enjoyed the track.

It was closed when we were there in July last year. Someone on here said it had been damanged by Ivan. I was just hoping maybe it had reopened, as we are about to go back for our vacation!

Just called and talked to someone at Hidden Lagoon miniature golf. The racetrack has been closed for two years now and is not going to be reopened. It did indeed have damage from one of the hurricanes and the woman that owns it is in her 80's and lives in another state and doesn't feel it feasible to put money back into it to repair it. So there is the answer to that.

Aww I really hate to hear that. I wonder if there are any other go kart tracks similar to that one? So is the golf course still open? Thanks alot for calling and checking!

Yeah, the putt putt is still open. The only other go kart track I know of over there at all is that wooden one that is two stories and I am sure it is closed also. Destin probably has something but that is too far to go.

There's a track on Thomas across from Newby's, is that the track you are talking about? I thought it was open last month while I was there, but I could be mistaken. Is that one Emerald Falls?

Anyone know about these still being open? The wooden one I am thinking about is Emerald Falls! Trishben, you said you thought it was open. But I wonder about these others and if they still exist???

While sitting on the porch of Newby's about a month ago I'm sure we saw the carts going around on the multi story track across the street, I think it's Emerald Falls. But after a couple of hunch punches I think you might see alot of things going around in circles...

Yes, Emerald Falls (8602 Thomas Drive ) is the one across from Ms Newby's and it is still open. We were there during the Memorial Day weekend and rode the go-carts. We love the wooden track. It is called the Vortex.
