Water Conditions?
HEy Guys,
We are thinking about making our 2nd run down to the beach next week. We usally go twice a summer. Our first trip this summer was perfect. Not one yellow flag the whole week, and not a bit of sea weed. I'm hoping it'll be this way again. Anyway, I know there is atleast one person on these boards that lives in PC, so can someone tell me how the sea weed and jellyfish are now? Thanks, Bubba |

2 weekends ago the water was crystal clear, last weekend I wouldn't have gone in to save Angelina Jolie... (All right that was an exaggeration) There are always alternatives, pools at your host hotel. The Holiday Inn Sun Spree has a great pool/pool deck, with an outside bar and security guards. You can walk out back to the ocean and if the water is icky or resembles the discovery channels special on jellyfish breeding season turn around and go back to the pool.

One problem We stay at an RV park and have to drive to the shore since the last Rv park that was right on the shore got paved over for more of those damn hi-rises If the water is too icky we usually head over to the protected waters of St. Andrews. Plus, we make it a game at St Andrews. THe person to leave with the fewest sea urchin quills in there feet and jelly fish stings wins

remedy
There are a few remedies I've heard of the notorious ready amonia supply: urine, meat tenderizer, or my personal favorite vodka.
As for sea urchines... you can pick them right up with your hand, just be be careful |

We just got back from a short, spur of the moment trip to PCB. We stayed at Emerald Coast RV Restort again. The water at the free beaches was terrbile. You could almost walk on top of the sea weed. At St Andrews however, is was mostly clear. I don't know why, but Im not complaining
Anyway, good ol' St Andrews made our vacation , once again. |

We stayed last week at the east end, and behind Gulfcrest the water was clear, calm and warm most days. There was quite a bit of seaweed on Sunday, but after that it seemed to clear right up. And the water was SO warm, it was heavenly...
