1st Trip To PCB

9 Days and counting 'till my wife and I make our 1st trip to PCB.We were going to come this time last year but Katrina screwed that up(we live in Louisiana). We usually go to Destin every year and thought we'd try a change of scenery.Anyway, can anyone recommend a place with reasonably priced pontoon boat rentals? And how's the water?I keep reading about seaweed.

Fred!
I'm sure someone will be along with some recommendations -- seems like I've seen a few recently.

Welcome!

Lots of great places for pontoon rentals - but I recommend:

Affordable Rentals. 850-235-1800 - I know these people personally and recommend them highly ....they also have Dolphin Tours ...

The water is kinda icky at the moment - we had quite a storm last night, but as they come and go, it helps clear the water - if you take out a pontoon - you can find places all over the place w/ clear water!

Enjoy your stay and be sure to post reviews for food and fun - we value your input!
And welcome to the World's Most Beautiful Beaches!!

I wish my husband thinked like you, I love Dolphins, but I have 2 children with me this year, and my daughter is too young. I wouldn't want to do that in front of her.

Have a wonderful trip - Shell Island is great! Take your wife to Salt Water Grill for Dinner one night. Nice atmosphere - delicious food. Hope the weather and water are good for you.

i know several families that have done the Dolphin Trainer for a day at Gulf World - they said it was worth it - lots of fun!!!

BUT - if you pontoon and anchor behind Shell Island, you can play w/ the dolphins all day long .... just don't feed them - it's a $5000 fine! Lots of people do feed them - but they are playful and not afraid of the humans that invade their coastline! thus, the problem!!

safe journey to our coast -- and Saltwater is nice -- but Hurricane Grill is pretty cool too...

Thanks again guys.I decided to sign my wife up for the Dolphin Encounter instead of the Trainer For A Day.I think she'll enjoy that more.Well I've got 2 more days then I'll be sippin' margaritas on the beach. Can't wait.Well how's the water?Has the seaweed cleared up yet?Oh well, a bad day at the beach beats the hell out of a good day at work anytime.I'll try to post pics when I get back.

Water isn't too great

Hey there - water was not that great today -- sorry! And I fear it won't be too great in two days -- East end is worse than the West end....

Lookin' forward to pictures and posts!!!
