Rip Currents & Water Safety: Watch Video
Great video produced by Beach TV and Wayne Gentry about water safety and how to avoid/escape rip currents. If you're not familiar with the Gulf waters, watch this video and be a safe swimmer!

I have been every year for the past 6 years, but it is always good to freshen up on water safety, especially since I have 2 children this year. Thanks!!!

Glad to be of service.
We just want our visitors to stay safe and have a wonderful vacation! Here's some more info about the Flag Warning System. Last edited by swn5363; August-31st,2006 at 05:00 PM. |

I've heard there's a bit of seaweed right now, but not too bad. I haven't been to the beach in a couple weeks...
Anyone been the past few days? |

The seaweed is still hanging around the shore - West end much nicer than the East end - but w/ the storm we had today, maybe some of it cleared....it's the slimy stuff
