Tornado

Just wondering if there was any damage done around panama city beach. Fox news was reporting earlier that a tornado was on the around near panama city.

I keep hearing that, too... but nobody has a specific location.

I'm on the beach now and haven't seen anything... but when I find out I'll post it. Local news doesn't have anything on their websites, yet...

Ok sounds good, just making sure it wasnt a repeat of a few years ago when the one was in panama city beach. I thought it might have been a significant tornado since they were talking about it on the news.

It was just a little twister... no real damage here in PCB. The only reason it even made the news was because someone happened to have a video of a potato chip truck blowing over on it's side.

Nearby Apalachicola wasn't as lucky, though. A tornado caused significant damage to their hospital, an elementary school and a Burger King. No reports of any serious injuries.

I saw that video on the Channel 7 news site this morning on here. The guy was trying to film it inside his vehicle and not one time did I see it during that filming until late in the video. He was so nervous, he didn't keep the camera on it. People who send videos in to the weather channel for storm stories stand outside their homes filming tornadoes coming straight toward their home. This guy was so nervous you couldn't see the tornado even until it got off in the distance. Where that was spotted was filmed right down from where we rent. We have shopped at that Wynn Dixie before. That is maybe half a mile to 3/4 of a mile from where we rent at Inlet Beach. We can see Pinnacle Port from where we stay. I know something was mentioned about Carillon.

That's because the Winn Dixie is directly across the street from Carillon. I think my hand would be a little shaky if I saw a tornado headed at the vehicle I was in.

You'd be surprised how those people are so steady filming those tornadoes bearing down on their homes. It's amazing. I think I would have to try and do so as long as there was a fair distance between me and it before I had to take cover.

Not really. I watch Discovery and TWC. Not surprised, just amazed that someone would risk life and limb. All for the sake of a video. This poor guy had no choice. It was on top of him with no where to go. Sensationalism isn't my thing.
