Where to Drink

Have a good or bad drinking experience post it here.

Hands down for me and everyone I know the best Long Island Ice Tea is at the Oasis
http://www.google.com/maps?hl=en&lr=...l&ct=authority

The crowd isn't pretty but my God that's a good drink, they open early and close late. It's got a Newby's like atmosphere but fewer fights. For like 7.95 you get the best damn Long Island made old school not this McCormic Long Island mix in a bottle crap "just add rum & coke." It's strong real strong so watch yourself if you dare try it.

Nope

Sorry Royal unlike Europe or New Orleans drinking in the streets is against the law last time I checked.
I like Schooners nothing like coming in salty and sandy to have a drink you can take right back out to the beach with you. That's also what makes Spinnaker & La Vela great, but I am not a fan of La Vela overpriced and under-filled, I have witnessed water being added to my drink.
What's your favorite drink there Family?

I love a good long island tea, I'm with you, no prepacked crap. Strongwise, how's it compare to a Hunch Punch (my fave)?

It will whoop your *** much like the hunch punch will but without the ice cream headache and red tongue. Just take it easy and never drive after having one.

Here is a new drink for you

The New Drink
Current mood: amused

Alright guys here it is, I have registered this one hope it picks up so I can be rich and famous or maybe just so I can have bragging rights for making it. After doing some research it's similar to a Vaitkus but this my drink the Tarpon Royale and I hope you like it. Next time your out at the bar have your bartender take
1 part Vodka
1 part Peach Schnapps
and a little bit of their clearest sour mix
put it in a shaker with ice and shake it really hard so the ice chips make a nice cold surface once poured out.
Add a lemon twist or fruit of your choice and there it is... the Tarpon Royale Martini... I experimented in New Orleans and came up with it trying to duplicate a drink I had tasted, I haven't made it past this concocted cocktail I love it and I know you will too... you can replace the Vodka with Gin if your into the whole "like my drinks tasting like a straight pine tree" thing. If it's too sweet do the same mix with 2 parts Vodka.

Icon14 Hex

My new favorite shot was introduced to me by a Tripsmart member (HEXXX) on Spring Break 2007 in PCB. It is Vodka, Malibu, and Midori. This is a strong one!!!! The Midori over powers the vodka and Malibu, so it goes down smooth and catches up with you in the end. It is called a "Hex"

I have a good friend in town with me and introduced her to Newby's hunch punch... we had a small one, then went in the Coconut Maze, which made it so much harder . Went back to Newby's to celebrate finding our way out and had a couple more of the mind numbing pga and hi-pun cocktails... Have a few pictures from the aftermath, will post them on my blog soon...

Here is our favorite shot, we order it out, we make it at home while playing Warcraft

Chocolate Cake recipe
1/2 oz Frangelico hazelnut liquer
1/2 oz vodka (we use Skyy)
sugar

Add vodka and frangelico to a shaker with ice. Shake. Garnish with a sugar-coated lemon. Shoot the drink, like you would tequila.

You can also try vanilla vodka and substitute Creme de Cacao, same amounts
