Question Best fishing?

I'm coming to Panama city beach in July, and staying at Regency Towers. Do any of you locals know and good charter boats to go out on? A party boat is fine, but the fishing has to be good! Also, anybody know of some backwater fishing around PCB? Any other places to hook up on some good fish?

Several years ago I went out on the Seminole Wind (Capt. Billy Archer) and it was the best trip I've ever had. I'm not sure if he's still running, but if you find him, book it! And a few years ago, someone I know was running a boat called El Bandito. His name is John Law. He'd be a sure bet, too.

Sorry I don't have more recent info... I haven't been on a charter boat in several years.

Also, if you feel like driving to Destin, check out Swoop I & Swoop II. They do advertise with us, but I've heard some great reports about them from friends in Destin.

And, check out this thread about Born to Boogie Charters... it started off kinda bad, but it looks like several ppl had good trips.

The ling (cobia) might still be running right now, so you may be able to catch one off the city pier. Or rent a boat and cruise the sand bars for them.

Also, speckled trout and redfish are all in the bay. Use live bait (minnows or shrimp) and fish around dusk & dawn.

If you feel real adventurous, go out to the shallow spots in the bay late at night with a spotlight and gig a few flounders.

Here's our Panama City Beach Saltwater Fishing Guide.

great fishing

I just returned from pcb and was able to go fishing two times in 10 days down there. I went fishing with Capt. Scott Lillard on the Capt. Scott. I could not recommend a better capt and crew. The boat has been remodeled and is very nice and comfortable. I went on a 16 hour trip and we caught a lot of fish. Overall a great expericnec and he is highly recommended. His website is www.kickbackcharters.com.
