Calypso is Panama City Beache's newest luxury resort condominium complex right on the beach. We stayed there 3rd week in may and loved it so we are passing the word around.

Pools were great, beach was wonderful... the rooms were unreal with granit kitchen, decorated like better homes and gardens... spacious balconies

Were there any issues with number of chairs at the pool? The property looks like it has a lot of units for the pools to handle.

You both asked and answered the question. Chairs are at a premium, I'd say there were about 30 chairs for each pool (generous). But the problem is that you have these 21-22 story high rises built on a small piece of property that not enough space can be devoted to the pool area. Most of the space that is available is devoted to the long skinny pools which leaves little room for the area around the pool.

Which brings me to my next point about the Calypso. You will notice in their brochures they mention 2 complimentary beach chairs for each day. You automatically think beach lounges in your head. NO, they mean beach chairs. If you want them, the rental people will set up the chairs behind the rows of beach lounges they have set up. They are not real high on you moving them either. If you want one of the lounges you need to be in line each morning. I was in line each morning 30 minutes before the rental hut was opened. If there were some available (not rented for the week) they would let you have them, at no charge, for the day.
