Anyone know of some good webcam sites that have live streaming video of PCB? The Chateau motel used to have the best, but it hasn't worked for over a year now. I know spinnakers and schooners both have live cams, but who else am I missing?

Boatyard has 2 live web cams. One at the bar and one looking over Grand Lagoon. The lagoon cam is temp down, but should be up this week:

www.hipcbeach.com is one at the Holiday Inn Sunspree.
www.chateaumotel.com is a working on with abacast. I have been watching that one all morning. You can get a better view of the surf at chateau motel cam.
Spinnakers has a cam, but not a good one.
Then the one at the schooners. www.schooners.com and clik on media. It has a bar cam, sunset cam, and beach cam.

I have the chateau motel webcam in my favorites, my kids and I look at it all year, but more when we are getting close to coming to PCB. To me, it is the best one I have ever found. Ten days and counting!!

We will be down there for a week in June. Lots of fishing and drinking beer will be going on that week! On a side note, I can't get the chateau motel web cam to work on mozilla firefox.......anyone have any suggestions?

Not a computer savy persosn, but can you d'load abcast? That is what it takes to view the webcams there.

yep, i had to download abcast before it would work on my computer too. what does it say on your chateau screen? or is it just black?

It just has the player with a black screen. Like it isn't loading up the image.

go to www.abacast.com and it gives instructions toward the bottom of the page for firefox users. I never had to do all of that, just install active-x and it came right up. give it a try, hopefully it will work for you.

I just got through viewing the beach on the Chateau Motel webcam. Had no problem with the webcam coming up. The beach looks great and the waves are really coming in. I love it. Makes me wish it was the end of August. Cannot wait!

I have tried everything and I still can't get it to come up in Firefox. I'm sure it is something simple I am missing, but thanks so much for your help anyway. I guess I'll just keep viewing it in internet explorer.
