Seven weeks from tomorrow my hubby and I will be hitting the PC Beach area for a much needed week of sun and sand. He hasn't had a day off from work in around 4 weeks and will have to work all next week before finally having next weekend off. I cannot wait to smell the seawater and see the sand. Woo Hoo!

Thanks sandandsurf, I hope you guys do too. You can imagine how slow it is going by for us. I love the beach. I still am like a kid when it comes to first spotting signs of sand. We always take our beach vacation late in the year right before September. Weather is plenty warm for anything and it is less crowded.

Also watch diving into the waves as 3-4 people have broke their necks in the past few days there. Not sure if the damage will be permanent or not. Bring back some stories to tell also. LOL!

There is a place called Donovan's Reef on Front Beach Road. I have been in there a few times and it is a good karaoke bar. There are some really good singers in that place too! Have fun!!

Yes I did give them a call, but all but one of my party has bailed out on the fishing trip, and $110 an hour is a lot to split up between 2 people. So I guess we will be taking a "party" charter, but we usually have good luck on those as well.

We can probably take care of that for you missourigirl. The end of August cannot come soon enough.

Sorry Bubba Bob, we came that way the first year but we have a different route we use now. We take 65 all the way to south of Montgomery and get off on Hwy 55 at the Georgiana exit and take it all the way to 331 at the Florida Alabama line. Just curious where you live in Bama. Troy or Dothan???

Didnt know of a faster way from Mgomery. Either 167 to 79 or 231 all the way to US10 to Ebro then 79 in to west end of the beach.
