Another pier question

Is the smaller "city" pier still open? It look closed down when I was there in July.

I tried to call, but there was no answer at the M.B. Miller Park & Pier (the smaller pier is actually the county pier... the city pier is the larger one - Dan Russell Pier)

I saw the county was taking bids to demolish and rebuild both piers through Sept 15, 2007... so, it very well could be closed.

We'll stop by if we get over that way anytime soon.

(Dan Russell Pier is currently open, although the last 100ft or so is closed off due to damage)

We just got back from PC Beach. The county pier was not open at all. We went out on the Dan Russell pier three times. Saw sea turtles twice. I read on some Panama City Beach site that they were rebuilding the Dan Russell pier. Hope this is so.
