I was clicking through the TV channels today and ran across a one hour special recap of the PCB Ironman competition. Even if you aren't into the competition, it was some great views of the area.

It repeats this Wednesday Dec. 19 (2007) airing on Versus TV Network (VS). I show it airing at Noon Pacific, which should be 2 PM Central but check your own listings. There may be other future airings also but none listed at this time.

For those not familiar with VS, they are the network that broadcasts NHL games. Find that channel and you've found it. Their site is Versus - Home

It's amazing how many ppl show up for the triathlon. It's turned into a huge event!

I hear that. The first time I ever heard about the Panama City Florida Ironman was about 10 years ago, before I even visited the area.

My friend Jim Villanucci (now a Talkers Top 100 radio talk host... that means top 100 radio hosts in the US) mentioned it way back then when talking about one of the events he was thinking about doing. He does enduance races and talked about hitting the PCB event way back when.

Because I have not had the chance to return to your area in some time but still have a soft spot for it, I really enjoyed watching the event. I'm recording it (on repeat) to DVD on Wednesday.
