Here in the Ohio river valley, my hometown of Philpot KY doesn't get much snow during the winter. In the past week, we have had 2 days of snow, making it for very dangerous and dreary conditions. The past 2 days I have been watching it snow from my window, and watching the PCB webcams from my computer. I'll tell ya', I'll take the beach over the snow any day. I'll be back in PCB in July, and with this kind of weather, it can't come soon enough.

Its been raining for 2 days straight almost down here. And its been cold (cold for us). Weather has been crappy since Monday to be honest. I'm just ready for it to be hot again...March here yet?

I am really getting cabin fever here lately. I went fishing on one of the local rivers, and as the waves were lapping up on the shore my buddy says "it kinda sounds like PCB doesn't it?" Man, that really put me the mood for a road trip to PCB!

Here in GA we have had winter weather (1 inch of snow on Saturday,woohooo) for 3 of 7 days. It is getting old as I have not been to the lake house in a month or on the lake fishing for almost 1 1/2 weeks. I can not wait until June when the weather warms up and we make our trip to PCB. It does look cold down there though.

I can not believe I am from Ohio and I am complaining about the cold in Georgia.

This cold St. Louis weather makes me want to go back to PCB...It's PCB on my mind all the time!

I am on youtube watching videos of fishing and general partying in PCB. It is making me depressed. I don't know if I can wait until July to take my vacation. I would like to take a trip NOW!

BTW - It looks like they are finally starting on rebuilding the Dan Russell Pier! Scheduled to be completed in Summer 2009. A renovated Pier is shown in much of Pier Park's promotional material, so I expect it will be in line with what they're doing at Pier Park. I believe they said the new pier would be 1,500 feet.

Also, some new regulations could affect your fishing if you fish for red snapper. Might affect your pocket book, too... if you like to eat red snapper:

There are plenty of other fish to catch, and if red snapper is in that bad of trouble, I'm all for it as a conservationist and a fisherman.
