Mrs Peel will become famous soon enough
Unless you're a major diving fanatic, I'd skip the Museum of Man in the Sea. Kids would be bored within a few minutes.
I haven't eaten at the Bonefish Grill in PCB, but the one in Indy is good. Try some of the local establishments if you love seafood, Capt's Table, Boatyard, Schooners, Bayou Bill's. Most of these have a children's menu, too.
We've stayed at Long Beach in tower 1 in late February & it was nice. The poolside grill wasn't open, but the lagoon pool & hot tubs were available.
Several of the miniature golf places are open; I'm not sure about the go-cart tracks. Never been to Ripley's. Hope this helps; how old are your children?

Gulf World is open year round, I think. I've heard that Zoo World is a little depressing, but I've not been there.

I've been a regular in a unit at Long Beach in T2 for the last several years. The huge lagoon pool is between T2 & T3, with Towers 1 & 4 being on the other sides of T2 & T3, respectively. The reason I bring that up is that its a little more of a hike from T1 or T4, since we go to the pool quite often, we're happy with our unit in T2.

Pompano's is a great place to eat and its directly across the street from LBR, we always walk over there, Coyote Ugly is too.

LBR is a great place to stay....have fun!

We were thinking of renting at the Long Beach. Do the condos there have newer amenities than the Edgewater? Edgewater is just getting run down and old in the condos.
I love the pool/beach area the best and wondered if Long Beach is similar situated with the pool/beach.
Is it shaded or all sunny and lots of lounges?
Which towers are the best to be in? How many pools?
Are they WiFi ready for computers?

Thank you! Oh....also, is there a workout area?

Appreciate it! I am also from the Indy area!

Hi nanindy, I think I can answer some of your questions.

I believe the amenities are indeed newer than Edgewater's.

LBR has a huge Lagoon pool that has 3 small waterfalls, palm tree islands, lots of shade, a snack bar and tons of lounge chairs.....this pool is one of the highlights of the place. There are also assorted whirlpools.

Towers 2 & 3 are the best in my opinion...they are closer to the pool.

My unit is indeed wifi-ready...and it's free. Of course that doesn't mean every owner offers it free.

No dedicated gym area, but there are 2 lighted tennis courts.

Check out this link for lots of good pics.

Longbeach in Panama City Beach Florida

Hope this helps!

When we stayed at Long Beach, we were able to use the exercise club at Edgewater since they're sister properties. The desk at Long Beach gave us a pass that lasted the length of our stay. This was 2 years ago, but I would assume they still do that.

Just came back from panama city beach today and we stayed at T4 at long beach room 1103 and it was great there is a pool right between T3 and T4 and it was heated the kids got to swim everyday and I got to lay out everyday we had alot of fun. The best place we ate at the whole time down there was at mexico beach, shagy marlins, shooners, and hammer head freds was great oh oh also alittle hight in price but saltwater was wonderful food and great fish tank. Boar heads was not great at all this time and Harpoon Harrys was real bad. The beach was great and The price for our room for a week was real great. Now I would love to buy a condo does anyone know where is the best place to buy one or maybe a website. Thanks everyone

Were your mattresses newer and things in the condo not worn out? Was it clean?

I am trying to decide on a new place to stay other than the Edgewater, and I like Long Beach, Shores of Panama, Aqua and maybe Calypso or Seychelles.

Thanks!! I want a big pool right where you can walk to the beach and see it from the pool!

We had pillow top beds brand new sheets and very clean you can lay out at the pool and the ocean is right in front of you. I can not wait to go back . I did worry about being on the 11th floor but it was real nice we got to look way out into the ocean and way down the beach. When we booked it we where kinda worried cause you never know what you get but when we walk in and check everything out we where so happy we did it. The people we rented from was also great people. There is no front desk to mess with you just have a code to get into your room and thats it. The pool was great. We didnl't even have to bring chairs for the beach the room had beach chairs and floats for the kids and buckets to build sand castles . It really was great for us.
