Why is this video appearing all over the place on this site now?? After some people leave a comment its under their post and now i noticed its at the top of the boards also

LOL! Because they're paying us $$$ to show it. We're still tweaking placement... hopefully it doesn't bother you guys too much... just scroll past it. Or click and watch it.

I hate that company. But they are paying you guys, so I'm sure you don't mind them. Just try not to let the adds get out of control like they tend to do on other boards.

What kind of ads do you guys hate the most? What kind of ads don't bother you? We're not going ad-crazy or anything... but we do want to make sure we don't use ads that offend our visitors.

Right now we only show 3 ads per page, which is what it's been for a while now... and it will stay only 3 ads per page, but we might play with placement a little to see what happens with the results.

What about video ads.. do you guys mind pre-rolls? What about super-video ads (ads superimposed in the lower-third of a video)?

Do you guys click on ads at all? Banner ads? Video ads?

Sorry for all the questions, but we always want our members' feedback for this kind of stuff. We want to be able to make a little money, but not at the expense of annoying our visitors...

i'm on a LOT of forums...

i can't say any of which i'm on have ads, so it's definitely going to take some getting used to. but i find that most people tend to overlook them on forums anyway. especially if you frequent it often. you'd think of it more of a nuisance than an ad... i find myself not even looking at it actually, and just scrolling down to business. most people wanna get on here and express opinions, not so much to watch commercials. but that's just my opinion.

Personally I dont think I ever click on ads or banners, they annoy me more than anything..I understand you guys need to make money and im all for it. Ive never even known there were ads on the boards until they started showing up in the actual threads. Whatever pays the bills and enables everything to run smoothly im cool with, ill just learn to ignore them

What other forums do you guys participate in?

I don't mind a few adds, b/c I mean you guys gotta make your money to stay going. So with that being said, the amount of adds here now is the most I would use. Anything over that would just be over-doing it and be annoying.

Every now and then, if it interest me I will click on an add. But even that is a rare occasion. American Express will be the last ad I ever click on personally, but thats b/c of personal reasons. None of the adds offend me at all, and I doubt they ever will.

I'm on several car forums, a work safe discussion forum for men and all of them use a few ads but nothing crazy. Once words start being underlined in someones post that are linked to ads, then thats when I'll say things have gone too far.

This is the only forum that I actively check daily, the only other forums I check are ones that deal with my fav sports teams

really only car/drifting forums.

I just find it hard to take a product seriously when they say "loose" weight instead of "lose".

But thats just me.......

LOL!! That's funny. I know which ad you're talking about. We pointed that out when they sent them to us and they never sent us a fixed version.
