New to the area, and familiar with many other areas.

Im curious if legally, can a person wear thongs on Panama City's beaches, Crooked Island, and Shell
Island?

If so, how do you know. Are there any laws or statutes stating that is legal or not illegal? Statute # maybe?

Sherriff/ Beach Patrol at State Park or anywhere -- What will they say? Will citations be issued?

For instance, in Miami & Lauredale - "You wear what you want" However, in Clearwater citations are issued.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not aware of any specific laws or ordinances against thongs in PCB or Bay County.

I remember some debate about it in the 80s or 90s but I don't think anything ever happened.

I see women in thongs year round in PCB. On the beach, at Spinnaker and La Vela...

However, men in thongs should definitely be illeagle.

This would make a very funny conversation... you should call into one of the local Radio or TV talk shows and ask that question. If you do, let us know ahead of time so we can watch/listen! Lee SUllivan's TV show would be good. Or Wayne Gentry's radio talk show.,..

Everytime we have been down, I've seen several women in thongs on the beach. I have to agree with swn5363 though.....not on the men please.
