The Beach Boys are coming to Panama City... yep, James Watt's favorite family friendly band (those of you of a certain age will remember) is coming to Panama City on May 26th.

They're going to play at the Panama City Marina, right next to the water... it's an open air concert, family-friendly, and tickets are going to be reasonably priced. More info coming soon...

I can't believe it! The Beach Boys are playing in Panama City!!! I have a million questions, what are the ticket prices, you say its a family event but does that mean I can bring the kids? Will they serve food? What time is the concert?! Ah Im dying! My daughter thinks Ive gone crazy Ive been yelling so much! Tell me more!

Here's what I know so far, kske4823... they're serving beer (yes!) AND encouraging a family-friendly environment. Since it's going to be dowtown, and right on the Marina Pier, I expect enough cops on hand to keep things from getting out of hand.

Last I heard, tickets were running $20. There are going to be food vendors... not sure yet what time the concert is. I'm sure I'll hear more in the morning, and I'll keep you posted.

Ok, here's what I know in a nutshell: Beach Boys in concert at Panama City Marina (open air) on Sunday, May 26th (Memorial Day Weekend)... the gates open at 1pm, the Beach Boys play at 3pm.... this is the real Beach Boys - Mike Love & Bruce Johnston included... tickets are: $20 general admission; $15 military ID; kids under 6 get in free.

Sounds like a great way to kick off the summer...

It's getting so close I can almost taste it!! Oh gosh this is just going to be the best time! I know my kids are getting sick hearing me go on about it but this will be the biggest band Ive ever seen in concert and I just cant wait! Ive been a big Beach Boys fan since I was a kid myself and now I will see them in concert. So cool. I hope others are excited too! :D

Well, it's almost time for the concert! You must be beside yourself kske4823... hope the kids haven't lessened your excite! I know my mother-in-law is all worked up about going... she just can't wait either. We may go, not sure yet...
