Thunder Beach was better than ever
Won't lie to you, I have seen many weekend festivals try to get kicked off in towns over the years, and let's be honest, most of them turn out to be a bit of a let down....but NOT THUNDERBEACH!
With a completely new format this year the organizers said all along that they were committed to bringing something unseen before to PCB and they did just that. From the kick off party out at the Sandpiper Beacon Resort to the great concerts on Saturday night, there was not a dull moment.
Through events like the Ms. Thunder Beach Contest out at te great new bar Katmandu, to the biker village at Edgewater, i think this years event went far in dispelling the old day myth of biker gangs and thugs. From six figure bikes to the average Joe on his fixed up old Honda, everyone was represented and more importantly everyone was having a great time!
So as for the event, make sure you plan on it next year...and mark September on your calendar as well. Starting this year and from here out there will be a Thunder Beach on the first weekend in May AND the last weekend in September...and if this fall is anything like this spring...it will be a great weekend of fun!
Thanks to Joe Biggs and his hard working staff for bringing this to PCB!
