I am bummed out. As a lot of you know, I visit PCB at least once a year, sometimes more. This year I may not be able to go on our annual July visit to PCB. I just graduated college, and took a temporary job that may lead into full time. If it does, I will not have vacation time for 6 months, so a week long trip to PCB will be out of the question. I won't be worth talking to for the rest of the year if I have to miss my PCB trip, but a guy has to do what a guy has to do right?

I am hoping to know by the end of this month wither or not I will be a full time worker, and that will tell me if I will be able to go on my trip.

Your situation sounds exactly like mine & my B/F's. I'm the one always getting a bigger & better job and of course when I do that, I have to wait 6 mos. on a vacation. No matter what happens, in Sept. we're definitely going. We're hoping to sell our home so we can permenantly live there.

We are so addicted to PCB! That's our drug! :)

It's good to see you on the forum again, Xi Bowhunter! Congratulations on graduating! Bummer about the long vacation probably being out, but maybe you can do the quickie holiday weekend trip on the 4th of July or Labor Day. You know the drill, leave immediately after work, drive all night and then stay out on the beach until the last possible second & then drive back. Even a little PCB is better than nothing!

My husband has had new jobs several times and when he told his employer that he had a vacation already planned/paid for they've let him take his week without pay. Maybe you can ask? If not-like Mrs Peel said:a long weekend beat nothing!

Great news! I will be taking my trip to PCB in JULY!

I am taking the week off with out pay, but it will be worth it

Still no word on weither or not I will be getting a full-time position, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Good to hear that you're getting to go. I put off looking for a job because of our trip in July. And since I decided to go back to college next January (at the age of 30) I probably won't get a good vacation for 4 years. But I plan on rewarding myself after graduation with 2 trips.....WDW (my favorite place in the whole world) with the husband and kids, and to PCB with my husband for an adults only trip.

I hope you have fun. Make sure you have alooooot of booze to fortify yourself before you go back to work!!!!

I had a friend of mine tell me that he wants to come to PCB the same time we do next year because we seem to have so much fun. I told him he should have come with us this year, but did he listen???? NO! Him and his girlfriend went to Perdido(sp) key by themselves. He said they had a good time, but their wasn't much to do there, and his girlfriend got bored with him wanting to fish all the time. I told him he should come with us next year so he and I can go fishing and the gals can do whatever it is that gals do.
