Exclamation Dolphin Splash

Want to see something cool, unique, and entertaining? Head out to the 34th Spring Festival of the Arts at McKenzie Park in PC this weekend and take a look at artist Jane Perry's dolphin for Dolphin Splash.

Named Ruby Flippers, it was inspired by the artist's fascination with the "Wizzard of Oz." Painted in bright, bold colors and with interesting detail, it's a sight to behold!

Talking

I saw one of these dolphins over here and boy are they something! What a neat way to promote the area. I keep hearing that we're one of the few areas in the whole world where you can see dolphins just about every time you go on the water. When they have the exhibit (where and when?) with all of them on display I'm going to have to bring the camera, get some pictures, and let the grandkids know I've branched out into sculture and painting! Ah, I love those gullible little tykes!

;)

First sand sculptures and now the real thing - you're a man of many talents Ed! I hope the grandkids know how lucky they are...

I saw a couple of the dolphins at the PC library. Pretty cool. I forget the artist, but one has a map of the Emerald Coast painted on it... it's much cooler than it sounds. Dolphin Slash is turning out pretty well!

Also saw three dolphins a couple of weeks ago in the pass. My wife goes loves 'em, and so we try to get out and look for them often. And, like you said, we're rarely disappointed. Another of the benefits of living in PC!

Exclamation Official Pod Party

Today at 5:30 Panama City Marine Institute is hosting an Official Pod Party... come on down for a sneak preview and enjoy light appetizers with the artists and sponsors.

Panama City Marine Institute is at 222 Beach Drive in Panama City. From the Beach just take Hwy 98 East to Harrison Avenue (at intersection with Hwy 231), take a right and go till you get to Beach Drive. Take a left at the light, and you'll see it a block later on your right, just across from Massalina Bayou.
