July Beach Information Please

We are thinking about coming back to PCB mid July (around the 19th). We usually come in June (which we did this year) and Labor Day, but my daughter is on the high school volleyball team and it makes it impossible. I need my second trip!!! Can anyone please give me some information regarding the weather, surf and sea conditions (seaweed, jellyfish, etc)during July.

I certainly would appreciate it.

Brian

Seaweed so far this year is pretty average. It just started showing up a couple weeks ago.

June Grass (aka Sargassum)

You'll probably see a little seaweed, but it starts thinning out in July.

Never can tell about the jellies. Haven't see the Purple Flags yet this year... which is a good sign (no marine pests) Flag Warning System

Brian,

We have been coming in July for the last 3-4 years and it is always great. We have never had any problem with seaweed or jellyfish while we were in PCB in July.

Also, I will be in PCB July 19th-26th, and if you like to fish you should come with my father and I on our party boat trip.

Bow Hunter - Too bad we are not going to be there together. Sounds like you and I would get along great! I have a 24' center console (we could fish all day and all night)!!

Man, you sure you don't want to come down that week? I would LOVE to go out on a private boat and really do some fishing. If you like to fish, we would get along just fine

Still here, but not bad at all. Varies by location... moderate to virtually none depending on where you are.
