Hi Beachnut! How have you been?

We bring our own when we go, but we use the park shuttle... make sure the shuttle is running then.

Thanks for the welcome back, and we do plan on enjoying our trip. It cannot come soon enough, However, it also goes by too fast, it is time to come home before you know it.

Hey trishben, doing fairly well. How have you been? I hope they are running, we are close enough where we can go by there and find out.

I looked at their website though and think they run through Labor Day. We will be back home before Labor Day. We come in the 28th of August and come home on Sept. 5th.

We're good! I had a minor stroke early in this year, and frankly haven't been very open dealing with or acknowledging it. I decided this week to try and change that though.

I wanted to get to lobsterfest this year but the reality is bleak, so please take pictures for me while you are in town. :-)

Feel better!

Hey Trishben. Hang in there and feel better soon. If you're like me you may find solace and motivation knowing the beach awaits. Our prayers are with you!

Hey Trishben, so sorry to hear that. Keep your chin up. You will improve a great deal, I am sure of it. I will be thinking about you. And yes, I will take plenty of pictures for you to enjoy. Maybe soon you could manage a trip to the beach and just spend the time resting and relaxing. My favorite pier is built back better than ever and we will be going on it numerous times, one other thing I have planned on doing is going to St. George's Island down near Appalachicola, they have a lighthouse there I want to go in and take pictures of. I am a lighthouse freak. We have a list of things we plan on doing. Take care of yourself.

Thanks. I was very lucky! I was left with only the tiniest nerve damage that doesn't affect me in a big way, but its maddening. Up until about a week ago I still planned on making Lobsterfest, but I'm realizing I'm not ready for the stress a vacation would entail, isn't that funny? So we will continue our swimming and lazing about in our back yard pool, and plan for next year, when things are more stable.

I LOVE lighthouses too, and I've always wanted to venture out that way. I cannot wait to see your pictures. Have a wonderful time, and take a moment to meditate and breathe the sea air for me!!

I will do so. The first thing we will do when we get there is bring in our things and then go down and take a walk along the beach.

Hm. Still never seen it out there. Guess I just keep missing it.

Hey idrivefast22, maybe they do not do that anymore. That could be old information on their website concerning that. I could have emailed them and asked.

Should be through Labor Day. I hope it is still running when we get there on the 28th. We may have to schedule that first thing. idrivefast22, I got just another email from Randy Brantley at ShellIslandShuttle.com and he stated the concession boat stops running today. I received this email at 10:36 this morning.

We finally made it!

I'm not sure how late in the season the guys are gonna run but we caught a ride Oct. 7 and had a blast! We usually get to PCB later in the month and have never had the chance to catch the ride. Like the idea you can play on the island as long as you want and catch a ride back when you want. The guys were great and tips are appreciated and I feel well deserved. Thanks again guys. We'll be back for another ride.
