Tomorrow morning we will be hitting the road for our yearly trip to PC Beach. I cannot wait to see the sun and the surf and the sand. I'm worse than a kid, I get totally excited at the first signs of sand along the road. How silly is that???

Anyway, hopefully we will get away around 6:00 a.m.! The man we rent from said we can come in earlier than the 2:00 p.m. check in if we want since no one is in the place, however, that would take a act of congress to get my husband up earlier than 6:00. I wouldn't mind leaving around 5:00 a.m.!

I hope we do. How is the weather down there right now? I was looking at the beach from the Holiday Inn SunSpree roofcam earlier this evening, looked like there was a few rainy looking clouds but I noticed the green flags.

This time of year the weather pattern is the same almost every day - mostly sunny with an ocassional rainstorm or two. The heat builds up and by the afternoon, small clouds start forming. Sometimes it rains. But, you'll have plenty of sunshine. The rainstorms usually last less than an hour and the sun is back out. With the exception of a few days, this summer has been much cooler than average. We had a 'cool' front come through in July and another one earlier this week which got the temps at night down to the high 60s and kept the daytime heat in the 80s (instead of the 90s!)

We've also seen alot of green flag days this summer.... hopefully that continues (I think there's only been one drowning this year as opposed to a dozen last year)

Thanks, I heard about that drowning, I believe from Claudette. Sad!

Well, we are back from the beach. I took several pics but am still recouperating from the long ride back. One thing about it, we not only got an extra night out of our trip on the front end but got a extra day on the back end of our trip. We did not come home until yesterday. So it was nice to have 8 days and 9 nights at the beach. I will try to post my pics later this week. We have been renting from this owner since 2000 so I will have to thank him for the extra time in the townhouse.

Glad your trip went well. Looking forward to checking out the pics. We're 25 days away so we're pumped for the trip! What time did you end up leaving for your ride down? I never sleep the night before a road trip so we've decided to leave about 10 pm and just cruise while the family snoozes the miles away. Again, glad you guys had a good time!

We left around 6:30 a.m. Friday morning. I usually do not sleep well either the night before a trip. I was up at 5:00 a.m. that morning. Nighttime is the best time to drive with young kids. My parents did that when we were young. We had a great time, the water was beautiful, I took a dip every day and spent lots of bucks all around, came home with very little money left. Oh well, we were there to have fun.

You can worry about money when you get home. Vacation is a time to leave the worries behind!

We did just that Xi Bowhunter, well I tried to anyway. But we had a good time anyway.

We have saved for our trip for a while, and I hope to not have ANY money when I get back! Hopefully I will have to spend it on lots of food, drinks, and fishing equipment.
