The official 1st DAY for ANY flights >> we were told <<<, or in MY case - able to BOOK - was Sunday 5/23.. and we did.

Whos flying in to ECP on Saturday ??? ...VIP's ????

Anyone have any answers because we gave up one day of our interval ownership at our resort on the Gulf to land here on Sunday. At least our flight will be a no frills arrival. ECP (Northwest Florida Beaches Int'l Airport) will already be 24 hours old when we get there.!!

I haven't heard anything about any flights on Saturday (May 23rd has always been the open date) but if there is a flight landing on Saturday, I'm sure it will be Southwest, gov't and St Joe VIPs... just for show for all the folks there for the celebrations.

BTW - Enjoy your vacation! How exciting to be among the first to fly into the new airport.

OK folks ... not drinkin the Southwest kool-aid but the cats KNOW what the hecks goin on in PCB, and there's NO damn oil here ..smell , glimpse or a smatter to be seen. Get your BUTTS down here now !!! cheap water front rates DON'T WAIT !! BY AIR car walk - run !! .. BEACHES are clean and they ARE WAITING FOR YOU !!!

Southwest airlines were well prepared to send us off from Nashville, beach balls, balloons, trivia quiz's giveaways, gift bags... a big bag of goodies, (see the pics !!) Landing there was great - the airport (ECP) well prepared. And the future looks great for now.
