Does anyone know if Florida rescinded the permit license for shore or beach fishing? Do I have to buy one now or how can I find out.
My parents live in Sunny Side and I read where surf fishing is now a permit as well, not that I don't want to buy one but that is the main reason I go there.... and not that I don't want to see my parents, I mean partying is not the big thing here. I love to surf fish but my family only has a few days each year to visit.
A link would help me to save a few bucks. Thanks!

I'm not sure about Florida but I'm pretty sure if you contact the Florida wildlife resourses agency you can get all of the local info. Here in Tennessee the local Walmarts sell license for the TWRA! You might give them a call down there.

I go to PCB to see my parents in Sunny Side but surf fishing is the second reason I go .
I knew when I caught so many mackerel from the surf last year that something would screw it up in the up coming years, didn't expect an oil spill! It was the best fishing had in 12 years, I hope it will be ok next year!

Thanks again Ridge and Tiger2. I called Half Hitch and they said yes it was required. I think it always has but they just started enforcing it.
Last year for the first time in years I caught many Mackerel from the beach and hope to do so again this year but I am not sure I will keep them if I do. I went to the Bass Pro Shop store yesterday and bought a new rig, I tend to wear them out every two years even after taking them apart and cleaning and greasing them daily.
