0.87 miles to shoreline.
![]() You guys should see the beach today - it's packed! Local schools are out for President's Day and I think EVERYONE decided to go to the beach. Awesome weather today. |

Yeah, I've got the Schooners Sunset cam full screen on my second monitor at work. Looks beautiful. When I was living down there I was at Paddock Club Apts. on what is now R. Jackson Blvd about 1/2 mile from the beach at most. Man, I miss it. Coming down in May for sure. Trying to convince myself to come down sooner though too.

I know right where you're talking about.
I actually live across the bridge, in town... about 10 miles form the beach. But I work 0.87 miles form the beach and I consider the office my second home. Some days I spend more time here than at home. |

Sigh... That's gotta be nice. Even the bay is nice to take a drive along the cove and into downtown. I was working for Knology and depending on where the work was would take a route along the beach or the cove. Sometimes I'd pull my truck overlooking the beach sit on the hood and have my lunch. Let me know if you have a geek job open up. I'm an associate systems manager here at the University doing package management and some server administration. I'll keep an eye out on the website for openings.

Yeah. I usually leave here around 3:00am. It usually takes between 11 and 12 hours. I probably average 80 to 85 mph. Last time I left around midnight but on just a couple hours sleep and the first 6 hours driving in the dark I darn near fell asleep. I'm not doing that anymore unless I'm off work the whole day before. But that gets me down there with a good amount of sunlight on the first day.

That would be great. Maybe I'll apply for the one that's on there just so I can get my resume in there. Or, I guess I can find the mailing address.

time to PCB
It takes me about 2 hours 45 minutes to get to PCB. I've got beaches a lot closer..like 25 minutes(Pensacola Beach), but I'd rather be at PCB than any other beach! I just deal with my beaches when I don't have another choice.

Hey bob! Things are great but extremely busy finishing school and doing my externship plus taking care of family. I still lurk and check out webcams though, but not getting to spend as much time on either site as I'd like. Missing the beach though, so gotta see the cams at least. Hope all is well with you!
