This is my first trip to PCB... I understand from this board and other sources that you can drink on the beach (as long as its not glass bottles).. I also saw that you can't Have open containers of Alcohol on or walking next to the strip... Does that include Plastic Cups? In other words will they bust you for walking the strip with a beer or drink in a plastic cup? :o If you are over 21.

They will bust you for having cans or bottles on the strip. Best thing to do is get you a daquairi cup or glass from one of the stores or shops selling drinks. At a few places that are right on the strip that sells alcohol and drinks. If you stay behind the telephone poles they cant say anything to you. Step one foot in front of that pole. They will bust you quick. There is alot of undercover officers in plain clothes looking for stuff like that. Just becareful and look at what other people are doing and just follow along. AJust remember, stay behind the poles. and you will be fine.

Ok so whats the deal about drinking on the beach? I'm staying at the Holiday Inn and so I wanted to know if we could bring a cooler out to the beach? will we get a hard time if we do?

we have been staying in PCB for several years and we have never had any trouble with having beer on the beach. we have always had a cooler full of beer when we are at the beach.

You can have all the beer you want on the beach Cheergirl. Long as it is cans. They dont want bottles for saftey reasons. But all the canned beer you can fit in a cooler, you can bring on the beach. No worries what soever on getting hard time. The beach is "open" to it. So bring all the beer you want. :-) I do it almost everyday I am at te beach.

I can't wait until spring break, oh yeah and 411 I have a question for you ( and anyone else who knows it) One of the girls we will be with is only 20, and i told her NOT to use a fake id, so which bars/clubs will she be able to drink at, ya know like if someone gets it for her at the bar? How is harpoon harry's or sharky's

Well Cheer Girl, You have asked the right person the right question. :-) Depends on the ID really. How authenic it looks and things like that. Some places won't know that it is a fake one some places will know with out question. Good thing for you is I am working possibly running security this year at Sharky's. I worked the door all year last year. Didnt check Id's though. Someone else did and he was a hawk at getting fake Id's. Tell you what.. email me.. if your under 21 should i have to worry much about cops bustin you on the beach with beer?

Being under 21, yeah it is illeagal to have any kind of alcohol. You should know that. :-) Most of the cops will be on the streets during Spring Break. If you are on the beach and you see the beach patrol coming, just use your head. And everything will be just fine.

just act real natural about it, don't start freaking out if the cops come on the beach...if you act nervous then you have a reason for them to come up to you!! I don't think they are on the beach that much anyways and they don't give you a hard time drinking on the beach either
