SB.03

Oh yeah - it's here!!!

What's it like????

Well... it's actually been a little rainy and cool... but that's not stopping the PARTY!!! According to Randy from Club Hour the clubs were packed Sat & Sun nights - Literally shoulder to shoulder. They filmed at Spinnaker, Sharky's and Club La Vela and will continue filming all over PCB during SB.03 so look for the BeachTV and TripSmarter.Com crew while you're out!!!

Not too many people on the beach during the day except when it quits raining for an hour or two. But as soon as the sun shines, the REAL PARTY is on!!!!

And the good news is... the weather is clearing!!! Rain should move out tomorrow and give this week's crowd a couple of really nice sunny days. And next week looks even better!

What can you expect from the TripSmarter Spring Break Report??? Breaking news on events, concerts, weather, nightlife, and more - all reported on a DAILY basis!!!

We'll also let you know when we put new photos and videos of SB.03 in our Galleries, and you'll be among the first to see you and your friends livin' it up in PCB!!!

Update on the weather:

Looks like a few more cloudy days. But the good news is it's warming up (highs in the 70s all week) and the rain will stop with just an occasional shower. Maybe even a little sun. Let's hope!

Thanks! I'll be in PC beach this weekend, and although it's supposed to RAIN ALL WEEKEND, I still plan on getting some good pics, which will be posted to my group each night that I'm in PC beach.

Let me add a little report into the mix of things here. Last night at Sharky's we had a great crowd.. and had a good time Good People, Great Music Our Dj's at Sharky's really knows what the crowd wants. You will just have to see for yourselves!

We've heard that yesterday's Beach Bash at Sharky's was pretty crowded. Lots of breakers getting their fill of pizza, beer, and hunch punch. And 411 mentioned that the Spring Break contests were off the chain!!!

There was also a Beach Bash at Club La Vela and La Vela's Director of Marketing said it went VERY well for their first one.

Both of these clubs have their Beach Bash on Tuesday's... you have to go - the hardest part is deciding which one? (I've been to Sharky's Beach Bash and it is an AWESOME party - haven't experienced La Vela's Beach Bash.... yet!)

Today was really FOGGY all day (warm - around 72-75 degrees) so the action on the Beach is still a little subdued. Still some people on the beach, and some of the promos behind the clubs are in full effect. But nowhere near the crowds that will be out next week if we get some sunny days. That's when it gets REALLY fun!!

But the cloudy weather isn't stopping the action at night... reports from Sharky's and Spinnaker are claiming PACKED HOUSES!!!!

Special thanks to Mike P who took some great pics at Spinnaker Sunday night. ISIS was the in Spinnaker's Rock Arena and Mike said they had the crowd going crazy!!!

La Vela is ALWAYS packed with a good weekend coming up. DJ Mea on Sat night and Coolio on Tue.

Apparently MTV and La Vela can't agree on the terms of Bling Break, so that show might not happen here.

And the promoter for the 50 Cent concert claims tickets will be sold at local record stores, so we are trying to contact a few to find out when and where... we'll post it here when we find out.

Well, it's another foggy day outside... and in the mid-70s again. According to the weatherdude, we should get a few hours of sunshine today before more rain moves in. Rain should be gone by this weekend.

Girls Gone Wild will NOT be filming their pay-per-view special in PCB during SB.03.... production staff cited "production reasons" for choosing not to film here. The GGW tour bus pulled into town and left after just a couple hours.

Harpoon Harry's was packed last night as breakers waited to meet Teck Holmes (from MTV).

More rain today... hopefully it will clear out by this weekend. We just added daily info for Rock It Lanes (at the Edgewater Shopping Plaza - across from Holiday Inn Sunspree).

They are doing some pretty wild stufff this year, including Bikini Bowling, Bikini Boxing, Bull Riding, and Wet T Contests. They are also giving away alot of cool stuff as prizes:

Still no word on the 50 Cent tickets... nobody knows what's going on. Boardwalk claims the show's promoter is handling everything. The promoter says tickets will be sold at local record stores. None of the local record stores have even heard anything about it. We'll keep trying...

It's raining again this morning, but check out the attached pic... one more band of showers coming from the West and it should be clearing up. Hopefully some sunny weather this weekend! And even more next week.

Sharky's has announced that Mystikal will be in concert on Friday, March 21st. Also, their PHAT FOAM PARTY starts this Wednesday and GLOW PARTY on Fridays.

The sun actually came out for a few hours on Friday... there were quite a few people on the beach!

We tried to get some pics, but our camera went berzerk, so we're digging out one of our backup cams.

Today (Saturday) has been a little cooler (mid 60s) and cloudy all day. I've seen ALOT of traffic in town which means tons of breakers are coming in today. Should be a good weekend and a GREAT week!

We'll be at Sharky's Beach Bash, La Vela's Beach Bash, ICP's Pub Crawl with Club Hour, and probably hit Spinnaker sometime next week.

"I'm in PC beach now, and this place is bananas! I came in Friday night, and things were kind of slow at first...but because it was so warm, there were a lot of girls in bikini's on the beach.

"Other than Friday, it's been kind of rainy here. But that hasn't stopped the party. Also, there were rumors of MTV filming here, and Girls Gone Wild filming here. Well, the city (I hear the mayor) has shut down the girls gone wild crew, and has cops patrolling the streets (walking the strip) with their tickets ready to ticket anyone caught flashing. So you won't see the usual mardi gras type of celebration here. Also, since I've been here, there has been no mention of MTV...I think they decided to go to Miami instead. But you know what I think? **** mtv...we're still having a blast here in PC beach anyway. The parties are off the chain!

"There have also been so questions asked on this board that I want to address:

"Underage drinking - it happens (suprise suprise). It's very easy to get alcohol here. Well, it's easy to get someone else to buy it for you. BUT...if you get caught drunk and you're underage, you may find yourself in jail, or kicked out of the club that you paid $30 to get in.

"Spinnakers and Club La Vela are the two hottest clubs here. If you're over 21...DON'T buy a gold card from anyone off the streets. The clubs have good deals for people over 21. If you go between 6 and 7 to get your hand stamped at la vela, you can get in for $5. Between 7 and 9 you can get in for free at Spinnakers.

"If you're under 21, you don't get off so easy. I think you can get in for $5, but you can't go in and out as you please. Spinnakers, you pay half price if you're under 21.

"If you go to the clubs late, you will be standing in a long line, only to find out that you have to pay $30 to get in (after you've waited in line for an hour). So go early and get your hand stamped.

"I've heard people asking about hotels...and I think no matter what hotel you stay in, you'll have a blast. I did get to visit a someone at the holiday inn sunspree...and that place was off the hook. If you don't want to party at the clubs....you can hang out at the pool and party with your neighbors."
