I live a block from LaVela and I can say that after Spring Break is over Panama City is much nicer. No offense to the partiers on Spring Break, but, it's a little crazy around here for 3 solid months. Summer here is awesome! The water starts to clear beginning of May. You can see 25 feet down. You don't have to pay to get into every place on the beach and the cover for LaVela and Spinnaker goes to like $10 (if you don't already have a local's VIP card). No traffic. Kick *** fishing. AND BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS!

I hope you come visit us sometime other than Spring Break and see what PCB is REALLY all about!

And what about the people is it crowded or just a relaxed place to be? and are the clubs and bars open all week?

Cool

summergurl......I would love to trade places with you. It would be a dream come true to live at the beach. Thank goodness I'm only 3 hours away.....but I still don't get down as often as I would like. (If I was only rich) I agree with you on the sunsets....they are gorgeous. Enjoy them for me.

Everything that summergurl said is 100% true. Spoken like a true local. Glad to hear there are some people living here that don't take it for granted.

And the clubs are open all week during the summer... you can go somewhere like La Vela to enjoy the crowds... or someplace relaxing like Schooners to enjoy everything else.

You won't be disappointed. Summertime is great here.

If the crowds are what you like, try coming for Memorial Day weekend, July 4th weekend, or Labor Day weekend!
