Never stayed there, but it's nice on the outside. Recently renovated.

I've heard mixed reviews... but that was mostly during Spring Break (which is very different than summer).

How much of your vacation are you planning to spend "inside"?

Show up, give the place the once over, toss your luggage on the bed, turn around... and then do the following:

1. Hit the beach. Hit the pool. Work on your tan.
2. Hit the many many clubs.
3. Hit the many many shops.
4. Hit the many many restaurants and bars.
5. Daytrip to Seaside (about 30 min away) at least once while you're down here.
6. If you're traveling with kids, take them wherever they're pointing and screaming. (Amusement parks, water parks.. miniature golf...) Watch their faces glow.
7. Buy some souvenirs, take some photos, relax... you're on vacation!

Repeat 1-7 until satisfied.

** back on topic ** Haven't heard anything too bad about Sandpiper myself.

Place is ok in my opinion if you are under 28 or so. Is a really big spring break spot with a lot of younger people running around!
