Amsterdam was in PCB and wanna come again but...
Whats up everybody, last year me and a friend of mine went to PCB we had a blast and enjoyed every minute of it. We wanna go again this year but he's kinda low with his cash.
Since we are from Amsterdam the money sums up pretty fast...this is what we spend last year per person 500 euro's round flight Amsterdam-Miami around 275 dollar pp for car rental around 450 dollar pp for the hotel (Ramada inn) 700-800 dollar beer and food and about 200 dollar pp others kosts like gas/motel etc.. I checked the round flight prices from miami - pcb but that kind pricy to... Any suggestions how we can save us some money? Thanks |

You noted that you rented a car last time. Fly into Ft. Walton (airport code VPS) and rent a car there. On three of my four visits to the Panhandle, I have flown into Ft. Walton. Rented a car at the airport.
Like Will says, it is not far to Panama City Beach (PCB). An hour at most, and you are heading into Panama City Beach from the OPPOSITE direction most people are (who drive in, or fly into Panama City where the airport is way up away from Panama City Beach (PCB) with only one bridge over to the beach. Plus, the Ft. Walton Beach/Destin area is nice with many international tourists. What I do is fly in to Ft. Walton Beach airport, get a room in that area near the beach, then drive over to PCB the next day. I wrote a trip report a bit about flying into Ft. Walton Beach and spending time at PCB. Check it out at http://forums.tripsmarter.com/forums...=&threadid=853 Hope this helps. |

Thanks for your help....I found a good deal on the trip...from Amsterdan to PCB with Delta airlines for 585 euro's
Are there any other ways to save us some money....I know more then 2 persons per room can save you alot and I'm trying to get more friends of mine to come with us...But I got a question about that, is it always the case that there are only 2 beds in the room so the rest has to sleep on the floor on a selfmade bed? This is what I saw last year...in Europe you can't get away with that the hotels won't allow that? Thanks |
