It cost a TON of money to open a bar/club. One of the reasons being tough on Fake Id's is that if the bar/club allows it to happen, they loose their liquor licensce and establishment. For anyone wanting to know how much a liquor licensce cost is $150,000. Thats a TON of Money that would be lost if Fake Id's werent such a big issue.

Listed below are a few facts about the whole FAKE ID thing:

Like It has been mentioned already in posts. If you are dumb enough to even try using one. Your gonna wish you haven't even thought about it after getting caught. Like my bro JASON says. A few things can and will happen. Local bouncers are trained by the alcohol and tobacco people to know what to look for. For those of you that don't know.. ( I was head of security at sharky's for two years). Seen many ol many of fake ID's trying to be passed. I'm sure a few got by, but I can promise you that at any bar or club you try to pass one in, there is a 95% chance that you will get caught. Here's a fact. In the six weeks of Spring Break '03, myself and crew confiscated over 1500 fake ID's. All we did when we took them was asked the person one question. That question was.. Would you like to talk to a police officer about this ID? The ones that said yes, usally ended up with a $500 fine/night in jail, and a court apperance date. Tell me guys, Is it worth ruining your Spring Break/vacation just so you can try and drink like your older friends?? NO It isn't. The ones that said no, got a little embarrassed in line and let in the club with an under age stamp. Another thing NOT to do is if you ARE underage. DON"T try and wash your stamp off your hands while at the bar/club. If a bouncer catches you washing your stamp off. YOU ARE GONE from the club and usally tresspassed to where you cannot come back the entire week you are here. Use your heads all, being since you are in college. Jason did say the best advice to all the underagers. If you wanna drink, do it in your rooms... Not at the bars/clubs.
