OK guys, this is going to be my 3rd time for pcb spring break, and the first time it was off the hook, but last year i was real dissapointed. i mean according to this site and others as well, ggw was going to have their big event there, mtv was returning and all kind of other stuff. but by the time we got there all this was changed, the ggw was in south padre and mtv didnt have much coverage at all from pcb if any. I mean even the sponcered events behind the superclubs were strict on the contestants, it was like they were trying to say that it was too wild in pcb, i mean dont get me wrong i had a blast and it was good to get away, but it was kind of dissapointing because it was built up to be so much by everyone. it isnt going to be like that this year is it, i mean it was so bad last year that girls were even scared to flash on the strip at night, and that is like a sacred ritual. btw we are staying at the beachcomber the 13-19. give me some info about why last year was like that and how this year will be, and if you know about any events planned for that week please state them.

If you keep up with the site, you will find out when most of the bigger events take place. I know its hard, because most of the time, we book before knowing what event is at what week, etc, but you can bet the 2nd or 3rd weeks of March should have most of them. Either way, you can't go wrong partying on the beach with your buds.

i understand that i will have a great time but my question is why did they get strict about little things this last year, i mean they practally ran mtv and ggw off because of their attitudes towards springbreak behavior. i mean it was noted that they told ggw that "they wernt gonna have that kind of actions their" either way i love pcb and springbreak and im not tryin to start a heated topic just wonderin if anyone knew why the sudden change of attitude was made last year.

No changes in attitude about Spring Break from PCB. Beach businesses LOVE Spring Break. There are a few residents that complain, but you'll get that in any town.

I don't think MTV ever really had plans to come here last year. In the past when they've come to PCB, they rent property somewhere and set up a month or so in advance... that didn't happen last year.

As for GGW, local authorities (particularly PCB Mayor Lee Sullivan) made it known when GGW announced they were hosting an event in PCB that they would enforce nudity laws no matter what the circumstances. That's what had most students and sponsors scared to fully let loose last year. GGW founder ended up getting arrested on a few dozen charges, including video taping minors involved in sex acts. Their case goes to trial early 2004 and looks like there's pretty strong (video) evidence of most of the stuff Francis is charged with.

I would agree, its no coincidence that new bars/restaurants are popping up in PCB......most cater to the spring break crowd.

Stayed at the boardwalk before. It was a good hotel. Nice prices, and the hotel is not very strict. You'll have an awesome time!!

Well, this will be my 3rd year in a row staying at the Boardwalk Beach Resort!! Id have to say its the number 1 spring break hotel in PCB, other than the Holiday Inn Sunspree! As far as location, its the best hotel, also, they are really relaxed with their security, so you can bring whom ever you want back to your room, they dont care! So....all in all, if you do decide to stay at the boardwalk, your going to get a great location for spring break! Cant beat it!! Enjoy
