hey im in new zealand and we wanna head over to maybe cancun around september, can anyone tell me what its like there at that time of the year??? is it still a real party place or are we more likey to find familys???

any other places any one could suggest at that time of the year to party hard?????

Hi there - Cancun is beautiful in September - its my favorite month to go there...summer is much to hot. You will find families there, although there are always lots of younger people...ALWAYS. Cancun does not allow homeless people along the beach stretch, thats why a lot of families think its a great place to go. You should have fun ;)
I'd love to visit New Zealand someday - I can't imagine what thats like!! All I know is from Lord of the Rings lol!!!!

What the others replying to you neglected to point out is that
September is high hurricane season in Cancun.
Having been thru one in Puerto Vallarta, I wouldn't recommend it as a holiday highlite! Try a different time of year and Cancun is wonderful

Hurricane season? Well you might as well only go during the winter if you take that advice.. (That would be the summer months for those in the southern hemisphere) I certainly wouldnt say dont plan a trip because a hurricane might come. I see about 1 hurricane a year and you know almost a week before it hits where its going to go. I rarely see Cancun hit by one anyways. Most hit the gulf coast. Sept is kinda late for a hurricane anyways.. Put it this way the odds in you seeing hurricane are VERY slim.. I have been through around 8 hurricanes in 26 years! And I live in one of the places hardest hit by hurricanes.. I can only thing of one hurricane hitting Cancun in the last 10 years.

I totally disagree, I was in Cancun in October of 2005 for Hurricane Wilma, and wouldn't recommend traveling during that time. Unless of course you like to spend your whole vacation with 600 people in a little school, with no running water, lack of food, sleep with 45 strangers next to you, and guards outside the doors because people are trying to get in because they know where the tourist are... I would NOT recommend it... Living in those ares are a choice, but to visit during that time NEVER again !!
