The surf
I was in Panama City Beach over Labor Day weekend last year. The red flags were flying high.
The beach patrol told me to get outta the water, unless I was surfing or boogey boarding. The patrol told me this on three different occasions, and I feigned deafness to the bullhorn. What exactly is the law/ordinance that corresponds with the red flag, and what's the penalty for continuing to stay in the water sans a surf board? I understand full well the dangers of the rip tide. But I'm not one to sit on the porch. I'll be traveling from Michigan, and it's not everyday I get to smash around the waves. I know I'll be drinking a lot, but in between keg stands is when I hope to be paddling about. Thanks. |

Yeah, it's a good idea!!
Keg stands and powerful tides is what keeps us sane. The feeling of being pulled further and further out to sea the harder you strive for that beer sizzling on the beach is priceless. |

Yeah,
The only thing that I find strange to this day, alright picture this, we're at La Vela, it's 95 degrees (over labor day). Everyone is dying from the heat, and mostly in the pool. It starts raining (no thunder or lightning, and everyone hides under the balcony. I was out in the rean, it felt sooo good. I didn't get it. Well, enough of my rambling. |
