Boardwalk and Chateau seem to have the least strict security policies. Boardwalk may already be full... depends on what week you're going.

We are staying @ the Boardwalk and told them we had 5 people and they did not charge us extra for the person, just extra for the roll away bed. They are booked for the wk of Mar 13-21. Good Luck! :)

seems like we've all settled on the boardwalk in the end. ideally, we wanted the two room suite at chateau, but obviously it's way past the point of having a chance for those. as for boardwalk, not sure where ya'll are gettin your info about it being booked on march 13-20, i talked with a reservations agent last night, he said they still have 100 rooms left. but just to be safe, we're booking it before the end of this week, see you all down there!!

good choice!
Dennis, they change the rooms especially for spring break. The last 2 years I had 6 in my room also there. They have 2 double beds, and a set of bunk beds in every room, so, 2 on each double bed and 1 in each of the bunk beds! Have fun, enjoy

Jason, glad to hear from someone who's been there before. question for ya => are the boardwalk and howard johnson the same hotel? i know the boardwalk is charging $195/$225 for their rooms, but on orbitz, they seem to be a lot cheaper, but the hotel isn't called boardwalk, it's the howard johnson... the address seems to be right beside the boardwalk, are they the same? i saw on springbreakhq that there is the east and west tower, is the hojo the west tower? also, is hojo as off the hook as boardwalk, if they aren't the same? let me know..

no
The Hojo isnt as party central as the other one, but, they are right beside each other, it all depends on how you look at it! The rooms are set up at the otherone better, easier to get from room to room to party!

yes, both are open later, but I really never hung out by them much. But, yes, they are both open later. The hojo one I never went to, the other one is the most popular one! If you need anything else email me jdalspaugh@hotmail.com , enjoy

The Boardwalk is not sold out, yet. All their rooms will sleep six with two double beds and one set of bunk beds. All rooms have microwave refrigerator, iron, board & hairdryer. Internet reservations are typically for poolside (not gulfview) but if you book on the internet, be sure to bring ALL of your receipts to the hotel at check-in. You can find a great deal on the net but they are limited and sell out fast.
Last Thing.....the Boardwalk is a two property resort. There is the east building and the west building (both are the howard Johnson). They are right next door to each other and all the other hot spots for SB. The rooms are slightly larger at the West Building. Rates are based on the view - poolside is cheaper by about 25 bucks a night. They just revised their rates and minimums for March 6 - 27th so if you have been waiting to reserve, now is the time. The rates will go back up in Feb. |
