The wonderful quest for beads. Unfortunately, as with most the other favorite activites, "earning" your beads, aka flashing, is illegal.
Most of the area are determined to transform PCB from it's Spring Break motif to a condo filled family resort area. As such, the police did last year crack down on flashing. It didn't help with the Girls Gone Wild turmoil either. If caught, you will be arrested. Normally this means you are given a Notice To Appear (ticket) with a required return invitation to see a Judge at a later date. It can be done, you just need to know how to do it. If you are in a car, don't hold up traffic to earn those beads. Get a few and move on. If you hold up traffic you are drawing attention from the cops. If you are walking, be discreet. Above all, have a fairly responsible person watching for the folks in blue to be driving, walking or on ATVs. They don't really hide to catch you, but you need to be smart enough to look for them and not do something stupid right in front of them. Most (not all) of the cops are reasonable and as long as you don't allow what you are doing to be a problem, you will be able to earn all the beads you will ever want. |

What about selling stuff? I have a line on some beads and glow sticks that I could sell real cheap and still make a small profit on. Besides, this would be a service for others. Will the cops give me a hassle about selling beads or glow sticks on the beach or anything, or do I have to have a license. This is not my business, but if I buy in bulk, I get a great rate. I hate paying heavy prices for a freakin' strand of beads!

I've never seen a cop give anyone a hassle about selling stuff. I guess as long as you're not selling alcohol to minors, or selling weed, it's okay. But that's just my guess. I've seen plenty of people selling beads of their own.
As far as flashing, pcb pretty much summed it up. The only time I've seen girls flash is in the club, in their car, or in a hotel hallway. |

I went to PCB this past summer and we didn't have any trouble at all. We met this guy that had a camcorder and we had a ton of beads so I know that we were drawing attention. We had cars pulling over and everything and never had a problem. We were on the side of the road a couple of times and the cops made us move, but it was the same cop every time. I'm not sure about Spring Break, but I know we never had a problem this summer.
