Hotel Debate (help me make a choice)
Ok, three of us are driving down for 5 nights, from 3/07 - 3/11.
We are looking for a hotel thats cheap, but we want to be close to the action. Option 1: Summer Breeze Motel -Located 1.5 miles from the beach, on the road behind club lavela and spinnaker. -$100 per night for two beds. -CON: located in town, gotta get a bus or taxi to beach or clubs -PRO: 1 mile from lavela so the beach we goto should be hoppin Option 2: Islander 2 Motel Located: On the beach in between the best western and chateau -100 night for two person room (only one thats available, +$25 to have the extra person so its 125 per night) + a $300 deposit -CON: Suposedly this room is tiny, i dont know exact size but we arent THAT picky. Pics of the beach looked ****ty. 3 miles from lavela -PRO: Beach Access, still seems to be in the middle of everything Has anyone stayed in either of these hotels, or heard anything about them positive or negative? Any input is appreciated, thanks :) |

We are staying in the Islander.....my friend who went on spring break last year and is coming with us again this year said that it's in the middle of everything, the islander 2 is brand new they just built it so it should be good. I think it's more important to be in a good location, you probably won't be spending too much time in your room anyway!

I'd say, at this point you're lucky that you are able to find a room. As long as you're on the strip, you'll be fine. There are people and parties everywhere on the strip. So you won't miss anything. I'm not real familiar with the hotels by La Vela. They may be a little nicer than the hotels on the strip...but I think I would much rather stay on the strip, because from my observation, that's where most of the people hang out during the day.
