My bags are packed and I'm ready to go. We're leavin around 6 pm, so we can get there by 10 am tomorrow. I just wanna wish everyone else who is leavin' today a safe trip, and I hope everyone has a great time. Maybe I'll see ya down there. I'll be at the Chateau, feel free to stop by. As for the weather, I hope the reports are inaccurate. If you go to NOAA.com the weather doesn't look too bad, but on weather.com it doesn't look too pretty. I don't really know what to think about that. Anyways, I'll make sure and post some stuff when I get back.

99 % of the time NOAA is right. They are a government agency that is pretty much the best in the world at weather forcast. They also have a pretty decent supercomputer doing their analysis. As for weather channel they pretty much just have your avg joe meterologist reading doppler radars. NOAA is just a little harder to navigate than the weather page. Anyways.. Have a blast and come back let us know how it was..

According to our one of our local weatherpersons (Judy Dickey at WMBB), starting tomorrow thru next week, the weather will be partly sunny with highs in the 70s every day.

Guess we'll see... but it sounds good to me!

This is what I got from NOAA (funny how the local people are glass is half full and NOAA is glass is half empty) ie they say partly sunny instead of partly cloudy :) Doesnt look like bad weather to me

What's the weather like in Slidell right now Tigerman?

We have been hammered by rain the past few weeks and today is beautiful. Its a little chilly prob like 50 but looks to get warmer. Generally since we are both on the coast Im sure you will be getting this weather by tomorrow..

At weather.com 's forcast and I think they are smoking crack up there.

They forcast a rainy day then the chance of precipitation is 30%??

Himm thats a 70% chance it wont rain at ALL! So why not just say it will be partly cloudy?

If I were the weather man I would just say there is a 50% chance of rain EVERYDAY that way I would NEVER be either right nor wrong :)
